Our Beliefs

ScriptureWe believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is inspired and empowered by God, infallible, and the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. God’s Word is truth and the foundation for life, profitable for teaching, correction, and instruction in righteousness. The Scriptures are not just inspired writings but are the very words of God, carrying His authority and power to bring life, revelation, and transformation to those who believe (2 Timothy 3:16–17; Matthew 4:4; Proverbs 4:20–22).God We believe in one true and eternal God who exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are coequal, coeternal, and perfectly united in essence, nature, and purpose (1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19; Deuteronomy 6:4).Jesus Christ We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, demonstrated God’s authority and power, and died on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. He rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of the Father. Jesus is the only way to salvation and restoration. We affirm His imminent second coming to gather His church and to reign in glory (John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 1:30–31; Acts 1:11).Salvation We believe salvation is by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Every person must repent, confess Jesus as Lord, and believe in His resurrection to receive forgiveness of sins, new birth, and eternal life. Salvation is offered to all but only effective for those who believe. We reject doctrines of universalism and any teaching that denies the necessity of personal faith in Christ (Romans 10:9–13; Ephesians 2:8–9).The Holy Spirit We believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and is God, equal with the Father and the Son. He indwells every believer at salvation and continues the work begun at Pentecost, empowering believers to live holy lives and to continue Christ’s works on earth. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, distinct from new birth, evidenced by speaking in tongues and other spiritual gifts. These gifts remain active today for the edification of the body of Christ (Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:7–11). We do not accept the doctrine that the gifts of the Holy Spirit ceased. The Second Coming of Christ We believe in the literal, physical return of Jesus Christ. At His coming, those who belong to Him will be raised to eternal life, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God with satan and his hosts in everlasting punishment. We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the reality of heaven and hell as eternal destinies (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:10).The Church We believe the Body of Christ is made up of all born-again believers across the world, regardless of denomination, who have received salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We are called to proclaim the gospel and make disciples of all nations. We also believe in the importance of fellowship with a local church (Matthew 28:19–20; Ephesians 1:22–23; Hebrews 10:25).Healing We believe that the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross has provided healing for the human body (Matthew 8:16-17; Isaiah 53:4; 1 Peter 2:24). We believe it is God's will for everyone who is sick or diseased to receive bodily healing by faith.Marriage, Family, and Gender We believe God created the family as central to His design for human flourishing. Marriage is instituted by God as a covenant between one man and one woman as biologically created at birth. Sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage alone. We affirm God’s creation of humanity as distinctly male and female, together reflecting His image. We reject all forms of sexual immorality and any attempt to redefine gender or marriage outside of God’s Word (Genesis 1:26–28; Genesis 2:24; Romans 1:26–27; Hebrews 13:4).Authority, Identity, and Purpose We believe every believer has authority, identity, and purpose through Christ. God has called us to walk in the fullness of who we are in Him and to live out the good works He prepared for us (Luke 10:19; Ephesians 2:10).Discipleship We believe discipleship is essential for sustained spiritual growth and transformation. Every believer is called to grow in maturity, to be equipped for ministry, and to help others do the same (Matthew 28:19–20; Ephesians 4:11–13).Sanctity of Life We believe a unique human life bearing the image of God begins at the moment of conception. God alone is the Author of life and He alone numbers our days, from the moment of conception until natural death. Therefore, all human life is sacred from conception until natural death and every person possesses a God-given inalienable right to life. Every human life has inherent value, worth, and dignity because each person is made in His image. The Church must defend, protect, and value the weak, vulnerable, infirm, handicapped, elderly, and pre-born (Psalm 39:4, 127:3, 71:6, 139:14-16; Jeremiah 1:5; Luke 1:44; 1 Corinthians 11:12; Job 14:5-7; Galatians 1:5).
